RPS Presentation, November 13, 2024– Anthony Road Wine Company-ochester Beacon-Sustainable Viticulture Program and Practices
Anthony Road Wine Company was founded by John and Ann Martini in 1973. John and Ann are still active in the vineyard and winery operations, but they have passed the reins on to their children. Peter manages the vineyards, Sarah is the Director of Operations, Maeve is the Office Manager, and Liz manages the tasting room.
The location of the vineyards in close proximity to Seneca Lake lends itself to a favorable microclimate for grape growing. Cooling in the summer and a few degrees above average temperatures during the winter.
All of the Anthony Road Wine Company’s vineyards are managed by Peter Martini, using VineBalance, New York state’s sustainable viticulture program. VineBalance promotes the adoption of best management practices that increase the sustainability of grape production throughout the state.
