In this talk, Dr. Alexis Vogt will explore the incredible field of optics and photonics, its pivotal role in industries ranging from healthcare to aerospace, and how Rochester continues to be a global leader in optical innovation. She will also highlight Monroe Community College’s Optical Systems Technology program—the only associate degree of its kind in the world—training the next generation of skilled optics technicians to meet a critical and growing workforce demand.
